- Inlet of the machine is through a cradle with two M. S. side brackets and 6 rollers running on ball bearings to place the fabric roll. This arrangement allows tensionless unwinding of the fabric.
- M.S. Side frames of rectangular pipes and sheet metal painted with hard wearing stipple finish stowing enamel. This makes the finish permanent.
- Simultaneous inspection of both the sides of the knitted fabric in a singular pass.
- The fabric is viewed in a two mirror arrangement and appears as if in open width form.
- Internal lighting has been provided inside the acrylic light box by remotely supplying power or energy.
- Two acrylic light boxes of any size included in the price of the machine.
- External tubelights are provided on the mirror frames.
- Inspection is more than twice as fast as compared to traditional inspection machines.
- Time required for unloading / re-treading for inspecting the second side in traditional machines is also saved.
- Measuring Counter is provided on the acrylic box for easy viewing on the left mirror.
- Variable speed drive is controlled by a suitable S.S. Control Panel and comes with MCB's for extra protection.
- FORWARD and STOP push button controls mounted on inspection table on both the sides. Foot switch is also provided for convenience of the operator.
- Soft start and instantaneous stoppage of fabric.
- Positive driven batch winding mounted on M. S. fabricated frames having two rubber strip coated rollers and batching roll guides. The fabric is wound on batch roll by surface contact.
- This winding arrangement winds rolls by 25% tighter than the traditional winding mechanisms.
- This winding arrangement winds rolls completely tensionless.
- Machine speed is variable 0-35 meters per minute positively & infinitely variable. (Higher speeds can be provided).
- Power requirements vary from 0.75 H.P. to 1.75 H.P. depending upon the modules you select.
- We engineer machines suitable for 1143 mm (45") and 1524 mm (60") fabric width sizes.
- Dimensions of the mirrors used for viewing the fabric are 820 mm (width) by 610 mm (height).
The ALMAC Group has designed and developed Fabric Inspection Machines to suit all types of applications. This machine has been specially designed to inspect Tubular Knitted Fabrics, both Grey and Finished in a tensionless way without allowing any shrinkage. This machine can handle fabrics in both rolls and plaits.

- LengthMAC : We offer a variety of length measuring options to suit your requirements from more accurate mechanical devices to the most accurate electronic ones. We provide accuracies up to +/- 1 mm. Our electronic devices comes with a digital display for easy viewing of the production data.
- PredetermineMAC : Our electronic length measuring devices can be installed with a feature to cut predetermined fabric lengths repeatedly. Up to 10 predetermined length can be saved, changed or modified conveniently. Totalling facility to get exact total of all the rolls inspected in a particular shift. RS 232 connectivity for connecting to labelling printer or computer.
- Power Cradle : During inspection of finished fabrics, in order to ensure tensionless and shrinkage free un-winding, the machine comes equipped with a power cradle. This equipment has its own independent geared motor and drive system and is synchronized with the rest of the machine in a way to allow tensionless operation from rolls.
- Power Re-winder : Again to ensure tensionless and shrinkage free re-winding, we equip the machine with power re-winder. The power re-winder has its own independent geared motor and drive system and is synchronized with the inspection motor through a dancing roller mechanism.
- Side Slitter : Motorized cutter can be provided to slit one side of the tubular knitted fabric so that the fabric can then be opened later in a open-width form. This slitter is motor driven at a high speed to ensure effective cutting. A round shaped hexagonal cutter of special material is used for its long life. A grinding wheel is also provided for immediate re-sharpening.
- Weighing Device : This device is still under development. Once developed this device will enable online weighing of the fabric rolls as and when they are getting rolled up. The digital display to show the weight of the fabric will be a part of the device. Please inquire to find out the development of this device.
- Total Quality Management (TQM) Systems
TQM of your products using our machines is one the most important goal of our establishment. In order to enhance your quality standards, we have developed a variety of systems.
DataMAC : First step taken in this case is a defect-logging device. We have developed a handheld unit, which can be easily carried around and is light in weight. The unit has a 4 line, 16 characters digital display and can be customized to accommodate all your defects. The severity, the length location, the flag marking etc. can all be simultaneous inputted into the same unit. The unit comes with a RS 232 connector, so that the defect data can be transferred into your Quality department's computer at the end of the shift. Thus, one doesn't need to occupy a computer per unit or even for logging the defects.
LabelMAC : Also under development is our Labeling or Fault Marking device. This device can be conveniently used to tag defects on the selvedge of the fabric by press of a button. This device can also be used along with our defect-logging unit to simultaneously log defects and also tag them.
Cut Map Generator : The next step in the TQM is the "Cut Map Generator" or our optimized cutting software. This software is customized according to your fabric and your customer's quality standards to deliver maximum cut lengths of the least no. of defects. The cut length data from this software can be downloaded on our automatic cutting machine.
Bar Coding : The last step is the bar coding for easy inventory management of your finished fabric. We take up bar coding for our machines as well as for your entire plant.
